Accusers of doctor Richard Strauss met with Ohio State University attorneys in Cincinnati this weekend to begin mediation over a pair of lawsuits against the school. An independent investigation revealed Richard Strauss abused at least 177 men, and a number of administrators at the time failed to adequately respond.

Sixteen more Ohio State alumni sued the university Wednesday over how school officials dealt with a team doctor who an investigation recently concluded had sexually abused at least 177 young men between 1979 and 1997.

More men are coming forward with stories of sexual assault by a former Ohio State sports doctor to join the push for a legal change to allow them to sue the university.

Thirty-seven former Ohio State University athletes, including over two dozen football players, filed a new lawsuit alleging the university disregarded concerns about a team doctor who sexually abused young men for years.

Lawyers for men who allege they were sexually abused decades ago by an Ohio State team doctor should get to see the unredacted findings of a law firm that investigated the claims for the university, a federal judge ruled Friday.

Ohio State University and the state board that regulates physicians are trying a new strategy in hopes of being able to make more information public from the board's old investigation involving a team doctor who sexually abused students for two decades.

Gov. Mike DeWine is urging state lawmakers to end the time limit on criminal charges for rape and sexual assault, which Democrats have been proposing for years. The leader of the Ohio House says there’s a chance that will happen.

The Cleveland Rape Crisis Center "wholeheartedly" supports a proposal from Governor Mike DeWine to lift the statute of limitations for rape and other sex crimes. Ohio allows someone to be charged for rape within 25 years of committing the crime. 

The governor made the proposal Monday following the release of a report detailing sexual abuse of male students by a former Ohio State University sports doctor from 1978 to 1998.

An attorney preparing a lawsuit against Ohio State University on behalf of more than 50 former athletes who claim they were sexually abused by a team physician told The Associated Press on Saturday that most of those clients were football players from the school's storied program, including some who went on to play in the NFL.
