President Donald Trump criticized Jewish Democratic voters this week, claiming they are "very disloyal” for their political opinions. 

Jewish voters expressed outrage at his remarks, labeling them as anti-Semitic. 

This comes in the wake of the recent travel restrictions placed on U.S. Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, Democrats from Minnesota and Michigan, because of their past criticism of the Israeli government.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has banned two Democratic U.S. congresswomen from visiting the country and the Palestinian territories this weekend, according to a government official.

Israeli radio reported that in an interview, Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely said the country would bar entry to "those who reject our right to exist in the world."

A group of four women lawmakers responded to attacks by President Trump with a news conference of their own on Monday evening.

Earlier in the day, Trump said the members of Congress are "free to leave" the country if they are unhappy with the U.S. and accused them of hating America.
