White House Counsel Donald McGahn announced his decision to leave the White House week. While President Trump took to Twitter to thank McGahn, the news still came as a shock to Republicans on Capitol Hill, with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell calling it “sad news for our country.”

Tuesday saw primaries in four states, including Pennsylvania, where four women emerged as the Democratic contenders for Congressional elections in November. Progressive Democrats also showed strength on Tuesday, and Republicans did not.

The Ohio House of Representatives has approved a plan to that will create new guidelines on how Ohio's Congressional map is drawn. The plan was passed by the Senate unanimously, and the issue will come before voters in May. 

Also, we'll take a look at Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine's endorsement from the Republican Party, who was selected over Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor.

On Wednesday, Senate leaders reached a spending deal that would add billions of dollars to defense and domestics programs.

The deal now goes to the House of Representatives, where Democrats will demand action on the Deferred Action Childhood Arrivals Program, or DACA. They have until Thursday night to approve the budget and avoid another government shutdown.
