Gov. Mike DeWine has signed into law a measure repealing Ohio's sales tax on tampons and other feminine hygiene products.

A proposal repealing Ohio's sales tax on tampons and other feminine hygiene products has cleared the Ohio House with unanimous support.

The Ohio House unanimously decided to bring back income tax breaks for lobbyists and lawyers after the professions were excluded in the state budget.

Once again, a proposal to eliminate sales tax on feminine hygiene products has resurfaced in the Ohio Legislature. This time, it has bi-partisan co-sponsors and has a companion bill that goes one step further.

Democratic lawmakers in the Ohio House who have been pushing for years to eliminate sales tax for feminine hygiene products were finally able to get it through – and nearly unanimously. But this time, it was part of a larger tax related bill.
