Miriam Burns

Miriam Burns is back at Ohio State!

Miriam Burns is a conductor born and raised in Westerville, a proud product of Westerville South High School, and a former Ohio State University student while still in high school (“early admission!”).

She’s made her home in New York for many years but I don’t know how often she’s there. Burns is currently music director of Tysons McLean Orchestra in Virginia and conducts regularly in New York with the Orchestra of the Redeemer.

ONE AUDIO PIECE Please join me Sundays at 3 PM beginning January 3rd for a new season of Concerts@Ohio State, with performances by the faculty and students of The School of Music of The Ohio State University. Our January 3rd program features Haydn's Mass in Time of War (I love the Latin title but I didn't want to be precious...oh, why not...Missa in tempore belli) conducted by Dr. Hilary Apfelstadt with a chamber orchestra of OSU students and faculty, and combined choirs. Then, there's this folk song.
