Monday kicks off Ohio’s annual week for hunting deer with guns.

Changes are under way to make it easier for people to hunt and fish in Ohio. The goal was to simplify the process by offering licenses that last several years and even up to a lifetime.

Animal advocates are applauding Ohio’s decision to postpone a proposed trapping season for bobcats. The state Wildlife Council voted 6-1 last week to put the proposal on an indefinite hold.
