Hue Jackson's failed, flawed tenure with the Cleveland Browns is finally over.

The Cleveland Browns bounced back from their week 4 loss against the Oakland Raiders with a big win against the Baltimore Ravens. With a record of 2-2-1, every game has been a close call, and WKSU commentator Terry Pluto says that's exactly what's making it fun for Browns fans.

Since Amazon announced Tuesday that sportscasters Hannah Storm and Andrea Kremer would become the first all-women team to call NFL games, the pair has faced public backlash.

About three-dozen Donald Trump supporters gathered just south of FirstEnergy Stadium on Sunday to stage a counter-protest to NFL players kneeling during the National Anthem.

Colin Kaepernick's allegation that the NFL colluded to deny him a contract as punishment for his lead role in player protests will get a formal hearing after an arbitrator denied the league's request for a summary judgment.

Kaepernick's lawyer, Mark Geragos, tweeted out a photo of the letter received from arbitrator Stephen Burbank on Thursday. ESPN reports that the league declined to comment.

The National Football League and the NFL Players Association have agreed to suspend enforcement of new rules requiring players to stand during the pregame rendition of the national anthem, after a report that the Miami Dolphins would fine and/or suspend players for up to four games for violating the policy.

CTE has been part of the national lexicon in the U.S. since the 2015 movie Concussion dramatized the discovery of this degenerative brain disease among football players.

The NFL had intended for its rule to achieve a resolution.

Unveiling a new policy after months of controversy and debate over players taking a knee or otherwise making statements during the national anthem, the NFL says all of its athletes and staff "shall stand and show respect for the flag and the Anthem" if they're on the field.

As the football season picks up, we explore the effects of injuries players take on in the gridiron. New science on diagnosing a brain disease afflicting players is making headlines. We look at the impact that stands to have on the game.

The Cleveland Browns' miserable season isn't even over yet, but there's already been a big shakeup of the organization. Browns owner Jimmy Haslam fired Sashi Brown, executive vice president of football operations, hired John Dorsey as general manager, and announced he's keeping Coach Hue Jackson.  The Browns are 1-24 since Brown was promoted and Jackson was hired in 2016, so both would seem to share the blame.  But Crain's Cleveland sports journalist Kevin Kleps said Brown was responsible for making lousy trade decisions that put the team where it is today.

The Cleveland Browns have fired top executive Sashi Brown, the man responsible for choosing their players in recent years, but are keeping coach Hue Jackson for another season despite a 1-27 record.
