A Pataskala man has been arrested for threatening to blow up multiple government buildings.

Court documents show Noah McFarland, 23, told co-workers at a packaging company that he wanted to get bomb-making materials with the goal of blowing up a judge's home, the Licking County courthouse, a police station, and buildings that housed the Internal Revenue Service and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

A Licking County court is reviewing how and why a domestic violence suspect was released early from jail weeks before fatally shooting three people, including a woman he was accused of assaulting and a police chief.

Following a shooting that ended in the deaths of four at the Pine Kirk Care Center in Kirkersville on Friday, authorities have identified the gunman as 43-year-old Thomas Hartless.

Ohio State Highway Patrol has confirmed that Kirkersville police chief Steven Eric Disario was killed along with two female employees of Pine Kirk Care Center during a shooting at the nursing home on Friday morning. The suspect was also found killed.
