The feud between President Trump and Governor Kasich has been reignited after Trump's 2016 Ohio campaign director and Republican National Committee co-chariman referred to Kasich's "pathetic need for attention." 

A Kasich representative responded by accusing the RNC of trying to rig the 2020 presidential nomination process. 

We'll talk about that and the 12th Congressional District special election today on our Weekly Reporter Roundtable.

The Ohio House is predicted to pass a stand-your-ground bill this week, despite Gov. John Kasich's push for tighter gun regulations. The Governor threatened to veto the stand-your-ground bill if it gets to his desk, but the new Speaker of the House said he could overturn it. 

The Supreme Court Decision on Sports Betting

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Monday to give states the power to decide if they want to allow betting on sports events. The decision was the latest milestone in an decades-old dispute on the pros and cons of such gambling.

Join us today as we discuss plans already underway in other states to take advantage of the ruling, legislation in the works that would allow Congress to gain more control of the betting, and opinions on the issue from Ohio leaders.

Ohio Governor John Kasich gave his final State of the State Address last night at Otterbein University in Westerville. As he finishes his gubernatorial term, many problems still plague the state including high unemployment and its rank as the second worst state in the country for drug overdoses. 

Join us today as we discuss Governor Kasich's speech and its implications.


Ohio's governor has proposed allowing counties to create committees that would review overdose fatalities, and the public would have limited access to the findings.


Flags will fly at half-staff in parts of Ohio over the weekend to honor a Cleveland police officer killed in the line of duty.

Join Bureau Chief of the Ohio Public Radio Statehouse News Bureau, Karen Kasler, for this week's Reporter Roundtable. Tomorrow Ohio, along with five other states, are voting in presidential primaries. Kasich has stressed before how important Ohio is for his campaign moving forward. And, Senator Sanders is suing the Ohio Secretary of State for disallowing seventeen years olds from voting in the primary.

Ohio State University President E. Gordon Gee joined All Side with Ann Fisher May 17, 2011 to talk about the state of the university. Ohio State Football Ann Kicked off the conversation with the latest on the ongoing NCAA investigation of famed OSU football coach Jim Tressel, noting that Gee had said before that Tressel’s job was safe. Gee declined, however, to talk about the investigation or anything to do with OSU football. Regarding the importance of sports to a school such as OSU, he said that “college athletics represent both the highs and lows of an academic institution.â€?
