The Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court is condemning a statement from the Ohio Republican Party accusing a Franklin County judge of colluding with Democrats on the issue of ballot drop boxes.

The Franklin County Court of Common Pleas has demanded Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose explain his office's comments that he’ll keep in place a directive that prohibits county election boards from adding additional drop boxes.

A Franklin County court has ruled against Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, finding that county election boards are allowed to install more than one ballot drop box during the upcoming election.

Courts across the country are facing a daunting task as they look to restart jury trials.

A recent attempt to hold a trial in Ashland County during April and early May showed how easily a trial can go wrong. On April 28, the first day of jury selection, the defendant, Seth Whited, began either having a panic attack or displaying symptoms of COVID-19 while in the courtroom.
