Thanks to a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Franklin County will receive nearly $4 million annually for the next three years to better track and respond to opioid abuse.

Columbus leaders are taking a new approach to getting a more diverse police and fire department.  They recently hired what they call "community evaluators," who will help in selecting applicants.

So far this year, children have set four fires in Columbus-some deadly.

Whenever a building catches on fire or a tanker truck overturns or the Police SWAT team is called out to diffuse a dangerous situation, there is a group of Columbus residents who rush in to help. Most people have never heard of Box 15 or the work they do to help out local police and firefighters.
