On this week's episode:

Wrestling Champ Goes To Washington

Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan is gaining national attention with his strident style during the House impeachment inquiry proceedings.

Jordan is a far-right Republican who is often associated with the Tea Party and the Freedom Caucus, a group consisting of the most conservative voices in Congress. He also is unwavering in his defense of President Trump.

Jordan has strong support in his extremely gerrymandered district, but three Democrats and one independent Republican may challenge him in his next election. Even if district lines are redrawn, Jordan will be difficult to unseat.

Before he entered politics, Jordan was a state and national wrestling champion. His wrestling history brought scrutiny after hundreds of athletes reported they were molested by a team doctor during Jordan's tenure as an assistant coach at The Ohio State University. Jordan has repeatedly denied that he knew anything about the abuse.

Snollygoster Of The Week

Earlier this year, we awarded the "Snollygoster of the Week" to two outgoing Columbus School Board members who took expensive out-of-state trips even though they are leaving office in December. The school board has taken a little heat for spending thousands of dollars so lame duck members can get professional development weeks before they leave office.

Now the school board has tightened up the travel rules.
