Amazon Launches One-Hour Delivery Service In Columbus

May 11, 2016

Online retailer Amazon says beginning Wednesday, shoppers in the Columbus area can get packages delivered in as little as one hour.

The service known as Amazon Prime Now is only available to Amazon Prime customers, who pay a $99 annual membership fee.

Under Prime Now, two-hour shipping is free for Prime customers, and one-hour shipping costs $7.99.

Not all Amazon items are available for Prime Now shipping.

The move follows Amazon’s opening of distribution and data centers in Central Ohio.
