In what could be a close gubernatorial race this year, Republican nominee Mike DeWine picked up a labor union endorsement today. A nod for a Republican is not unusual for the International Union of Operating Engineers.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Monday to give states the power to decide if they want to allow betting on sports events. The decision was the latest milestone in an decades-old dispute on the pros and cons of such gambling.

The party has a plan to reach out to voters across the spectrum.
