Live at Classical 101

Earlier today, the award-winning Dover Quartet - hailed by The New Yorker as "the young American string quartet of the moment" - joined me for a live performance and interview on Classical 101.

Classical guitarist Pablo Villegas has been called the "natural heir" to Andres Segovia, the great Spanish guitarist of the 20th century who became the best-known ambassador for the guitar as a serious concert instrument.

If your only connection to the culture of Wales is Bryn Terfel and  Tom Jones, you have a wonderful opportunity to find out more about it this weekend.  The North American Festival of Wales is in session for a 3-day run Thursday-Saturday in Columbus.  Calan opens the program Thursday evening.

Musicians from Columbus' newest classical music offering - the VIVO Music Festival - joined Classical 101's Jennifer Hambrick live in the Classical 101 studios.

There was a time in the United States when life moved a little slower, summer evenings lasted a little longer, and the local park was the place to be each week for an outdoor concert.
