The Cleveland-based period-instrument orchestra has released 25 albums in the 25 years since its inception, supported by four European tours.
Founder and artistic director Jeannette Sorrell leads the orchestra in this March 2016 performance of Bach's St. John Passion. The audio of the performance will be available here through May 15.
Joining Apollo’s Fire and Apollo’s singers are soloists Nicholas Phan, tenor (Evangelist); Jesse Blumberg, baritone (Jesus); Jeffrey Strauss, baritone (Pilate); Amanda Forsythe, soprano; Terry Wey, countertenor; and Christian Immler, baritone. Robert Conrad hosts.
